The Karachi Down syndrome Program (KDSP) is a non-profit organization with the goal to advocate the value, acceptance and inclusion of all individuals with Down Syndrome living in Karachi, Pakistan. KDSP is the foremost organization within the country, providing holistic services for individuals with Down syndrome, ranging from Early Childhood Intervention, Healthcare, Family Support, Enrichment and Skills Development, Education and Awareness. Part of the awareness umbrella involves initiatives for the masses, in order to inform the society and make it more accepting and inclusive of individuals with Down syndrome.

KDSP regularly conducts awareness sessions at schools and organizations to sensitize students and employees on what Down syndrome is, the preferred language guide, the value of treating them with kindness and respect and the importance of including them as part of our society. March 21st marked World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) for which the Karachi Down Syndrome Program organizes a campaign each year to build bridges, break barriers and help individuals with Down syndrome integrate within society as equal and participating members. This year, KDSP has set out on a mission to raise awareness about Down syndrome amongst 600+ various individuals from corporate organizations, schools, NGO’s.
